PRIDE Handicrafts
June usually finds us at local PRIDE events, where LGBTQ+ communities come together to celebrate the freedom to be themselves. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic and subsequent quarantine, virtually all events have been cancelled. At the same time, many of the families we help support in Guatemala find themselves in dire straits due to quarantine restrictions there. Most have temporarily lost their livelihoods and many are unable to provide sufficient food for their families. Every penny earned from sale of PRIDE items will be used to feed the students and their families.
These items are handcrafted in small villages in Guatemala. The beadwork is quite intricate which contributes to its visual appeal. Each item is individually crafted resulting in small variations in color and design which contribute to their unique appeal.
Note about shipping: The US Postal Service has increased shipping prices significantly. The minimum cost to ship is $8.00, but we can easily mail 1 - 10 small items for that amount. It probably makes sense to buy more than one item, if you’re able.
